FC St. pauli is the most famous second division in the world. The left leaning values of anti-homophobia, anti-racism, anti-fascism and anti-sexism that permeate the club has become their trademark. However little is known about the club’s successes on the pitch. We met with members of the St. Pauli Museum to discuss the clubs most important moments of the last couple decades, to explain more about the on pitch performances that have helped the club gain its current status.

Muchos informes, muchos artículos, muchos vídeos, te cuentan sobre los ideales que defiende el FC St. Pauli. Pero los Piratas del Sur, que hace 12 años seguimos a este equipo, nos cansamos de tanta repetición y decidimos aplicar el “Hazlo Tu Mismo” en su máximo expresión. Le pedimos ayuda a nuestro amigo Michael Pahl, uno de los hinchas del marrón y blanco de Hamburgo que mas conoce sobre los detalles de la historia de este club, y nos propusimos llevarlos en un viaje por esa transformación, y así derrumbar los mitos que hablan de la “moda” de seguir al equipo “pirata”. Grabado durante el mes de Agosto 2018 en Hamburgo, St Pauli: Punk Rock Football es el primer documental producido integralmente por Piratas del Sur, el que esperamos sea el primero de muchos.
